I felt like I was going to cry all morning. I don't know why; I just did. I made it until lunch when I met Mom at Pappas Barbeque to trade checks. We had a good lunch. She had seen Granny earlier in the morning to tell her that Pawpaw had asked to see her before he died and that she hadn't wanted her to come. It all seemed to go well. Mom was afraid that it would stir up some anger or hatred that had seemed to simmer down, but it didn't. Granny told her that she always thought that Pawpaw had probably wanted to apologize to her. I'm glad Mom told her and did so quickly.
I went back to work and continued on the 052300 AR clearing account reconciliation. Even with the new file Doug found, I'm no closer than I was before. Perhaps I can find something today. We still haven't heard from the guys loading the fixed asset subledger, and today's a holiday in India. Oh well.
After work, I talked on the phone to James from Austin for over an hour. He seems very interesting and very nice but a bit intense and probably too liberal for me. Perhaps I'll see him when he comes to Dallas to see his grandparents.
Then Allen from Sunday night called again. I hope this isn't a pattern. I don't talk to anyone every day except at work, and even then I have the weekends off. I just don't have that much I want to talk about every day particularly to someone I just met. We'll see.
Thank God, Tucker from Amarillo called while I was talking to James from Austin. I hadn't scared him off. He left a message that he had received my card at work yesterday, and it had made his day. I love listening to him talk; I don't know why yet. Could I be in love? Surely not, but I feel gooey inside when I think of him. I am going to try to go see him in Amarillo. He said we would go spray paint graffiti at the Cadillac Ranch and go see Palo Duro Canyon.
Then I talked to Dan for a long time. I'm sure going to miss him. We are so much alike aside from the fact that he's a pinko liberal Commie Kennedy Democrat, and I'm not. Dan said he'd like to drive through West Texas just so he can see it before he moves to DC. So maybe we'll go weekend after next to Amarillo, and I can see Tucker. We'll see.
Then I logged on the gay.com and chatted for a while. So many guys paged me last night. I don't know what's going on. This one really cute boy Brian from Dallas paged me and we chatted for a while. He's also a financial analyst at REIT out in Las Colinas in the old CIGNA building. He lives in the ParkGates at CityPlace where Richard and I used to lived. He's just bought a house in Carrollton. He's 32, 6'4", 180 (sounds skinnier than his picture), a Cancer, and his favorite color is blue like mine (although sometimes I like green). He asked if I'd like to meet for coffee, so we're going to go sometime after he gets back from his trip to Houston.
