I was right. I started to fade at about 4 this afternoon, but I did manage to finish work, go by the bank, go by the grocery store for some laundry quarters, wash the car, do a couple of loads of laundry, and find some potential sisters-in-law on Yahoo! Personals and Match.com.
I've decided it's time for Ross to get married. Ross is my hunky 6'5" 33 year-old baby brother and also my best friend. I say he is hunky not in the incestuous sense but because so many friends of mine ask me who he is after they've seen us together. He is so special, and I really would like for him to find someone equally as special that fits his criteria. Firstly, she should be a hottie. To Ross, that means that she should look like Jaclyn Smith or Sandra Bullock. I had to laugh when he first told me this because I can't believe he was old enough to know who Jaclyn Smith was when she was in Charlie's Angels. Maybe he has a fondness for KMart.
Anyway, secondly, she should be smart, of course, and tall, beautiful, wholesome, and about 28 to 33, I think. Ross majored in English at Duke and is currently employed as a computer programmer/web developer. He's also tall, handsome, and very wholesome which leads me to what I believe is his dilemma. He is a very committed Christian with a very dry, off-the-wall sense of humor, a fondness for bizarre literature, a definite artistic/creative bent, and a true open-mindedness that one rarely encounters these days, particularly in white straight men in Texas. I think he's found it difficult to meet the right kind of woman with a similar makeup as his. They're either too much of one or the other. Well, we'll see tomorrow whether or not he's interested in any of my choices for him - Hey!, seeking man for longterm relationship, An All-American Christian Girl, SDiGo, BrookeMichael, arwen2003, or tall_christian.
I finished the last couple of months of Searching for Love in Manhattan tonight and posted a comment. Faustus, MD responded personally to my comment and answered my question which I thought was very nice of him. Regrettably, I had to disagree with his assertion that y'all is already plural. Any true Texan knows that the plural of y'all is all y'all.
I hope Lord Faustus doesn't banish me from his blog.
Well, time for bed. I've got to meet Ross at Lucky's for breakfast in the morning. Good night.
