God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.

Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.

Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.

Yesterday morning, I met with Larry in IT at work regarding changes need to the GN0051 Report for the 052300 reconciliation. I finished up many little projects, and then Laura from Accountemps called. We found out that my end-date at GE is scheduled for next Friday. We discussed my hourly rate and my options for a while because I had brought up the fact that I was on a "horizontal career path" with her when she dropped by around Valentine's Day. She's going to see what I can do about getting me more money. That would be nice. I need to give them some synopses and examples of my work. Hopefully that will work out soon.

I was able to make some more unexpected progress on the 052300 recon. It's funny to me how the data can speak to us when we view it from different perspectives. I'm down to almost 10% unreconciled and have some ideas on some of the rest that I'll try on Monday.

After work, I came home, showered, and dressed for the fundraiser with Tom W. One benefit of housecleaning has been finding things I forgot that I owned. I found a pair of black linen trousers that fit and that I wore last night. I'm so tired of wearing khakis, but until I lose this gut, I'm not willing to buy all new pants. Need to get to work on that.

Tom came by to pick me up and we went down to Marco's for dinner using the certificate we earned a couple of weeks ago when we had to listen to Tom M and Ryan drone on at dinner. We went to the cabaret performance his friend Lauri and her ensemble Our Endeavors Theater Collective produced as a fundraiser. I was so impressed with all the talent and particularly impressed with the songs that Lauri wrote and sang. It's one thing to perform something, but to write the words and music to it as well is no small feat. Perhaps she could help me with my idea for a musical/opera based on the thousand days of the Kennedy administration.

Came home about midnight, checked my email, and went to bed.
