Yesterday morning, the bluebird outside my window brought a friend. I sat outside on the stoop, and although it seems early, I believe things are beginning to grow in the wildflower garden. I've pulled up any stray grass or weeds. We'll soon see what we have.
At work, I finished reconciling the 052300 AR Clearing Account to the extent that I can. Only five percent of the transactions left. Mohan in India will have to take it from here. I completed the U.S. Census Survey of Capital Expenditures. Today, I only need to complete the external sale of assets that Doug gave me. As far as I know, today is my last day.
I picked up my laundry on the way home. Now, everything I own is clean. Not everything fits, but that's a different matter.
I replied to Tucker's email when I arrived home. Already I feel better and more in acceptance of how things will be between us. The God box really works.
Dan picked me up after seven o'clock, and we headed down to the Meyerson to hear David Sedaris read and speak. He is hilarious. Such insight in little, seemingly trivial everyday events. I need to finish Naked and read The Santaland Diaries when Disco Dan returns it. Mr. Sedaris also heartily recommended a book titled An Obedient Father by Akhil Sharma as an example of great writing. Afterwards, we stopped by Zaguán World Bakery & Cafe for cafe con leche and dessert.
All in all, a very good day.
