hope

God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.

Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.

Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

-- Proverbs 13:12

Another good day yesterday, but frantic. I worked on simplifying the Top 10 Labs report because that's a beat-down every month. At lunch, I sped over to UTD to make some corrections to this week's homework and turn it in. The computer lab was full so it took a little while to get a station, but I got it done. Hopefully, I'll make a 100 this week. When I returned, Jeremy asked me to start on a new Access report for the president. I forgot how much I enjoyed working in Access. I've got it about done but need to make some changes today to get it to print out correctly. After work, I went by the Kenneth Cole store in the Galleria to look for a backpack I'd seen on the web, but they didn't have it. I met the Rebellion Dogs at Snuffer's in Preston Center, and we decided to invite Mike W. to join our group. We're going to study "Came to Believe" this fall. Hope he joins 'cause I like Mike, and I think he'd be a good addition. I drove through Preston Center afterwards to make sure Translations was still there and then headed over to the NorthPark Kenneth Cole store but they didn't have the backpack either. When I got home, I finally found a leather backpack on Overstock.com and ordered it. I saved about $30 that way. Love that. I talked to Allen a while. He seems more and more depressed. I think he had a bad dream about us night before last. He says he feels hopeless and feels guilty taking up my time every night talking on the phone when I have other things to do and he's at a standstill. I've been there so I know what he's talking about. All we can do is wait. This isn't permanent, but it certainly seems so when we're in it.

Thank God it's Friday.
