busy bee

God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.

Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.

Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.

Busy hands are never in want. -- Chinese proverb

In a thousand apparently humble ways men busy themselves to make some right take the place of some wrong,—if it is only to make a better paste blacking,—and they are themselves so much the better morally for it. -- Henry David Thoreau, Letter, December 19, 1853, to Harrison Blake

Growing old is no more than a bad habit which a busy man has no time to form. -- André Maurois, The Art of Living

So many things are beginning to happen lately. I found out that I earned an A in my statistics course last week. I got laid a couple of times. Made a cobbler and hosted the Rebellion Dogs Thursday night. I had a date with Larry for dinner and the play "Danube" at Kitchen Dog Theater on Friday night. Had breakfast at Lucky's with my little bro Ross on Saturday morning. Went to the men's AA meeting. Did some Christmas shopping. Went out to my parents' house in Arlington to check on my Dad after his eye surgery Thursday and to do some Christmas baking with Mom. Went to Sarah and Beth's open house Saturday night. Met Charles from gay.com for coffee on Sunday. Went to the baby shower Robert was hosting Sunday afternoon. Found out yesterday that Management Resources may have a position for me through the end of February at my old company H.D. Vest. Finished the financial statements for our AA business meeting. Had company again last night.

Thanks God. I feel much more connected to You than I have in the past several months.
