change

God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.

Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.

Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.

Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better. -- Richard Hooker, quoted in preface, Dictionary of the English Language by Samuel Johnson

A reasonable change of the world can not be instrumented by pure reason. -- Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Czechoslovakia 1968

Change is the only constant. Hanging on is the only sin. -- Denise McCluggage, WomenSports, June 1977

Yesterday, I continued to work on the month end analysis database to automate all the calculations necessary for our market area high level financial reviews. I think this should help once I complete it. I actually didn't do much after work except to go by Starbucks for a White Chocolate Mocha and to take a nap later.

I've taken off work today to focus on packing. This has been more emotionally difficult than I anticipated. I feel so warm and comfortable in my apartment. I am excited about my new condo, but I will definitely miss this place. It has been a place of refuge and comfort during both good times and bad for most of my sobriety. Seven and a half years. I can't believe that I've lived here that long.

Oh well, things change.
