crazy

God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.

Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.

Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.

They’re all crazy. They’re all crazy except you and me. Sometimes I have me doubts about you. -- Garrett Fort, Dracula

It’s crazy how you can get yourself in a mess sometimes and not even be able to think about it with any sense and yet not be able to think about anything else. -- Stanley Kubrick, Killer’s Kiss

Life is crazy. Now, maybe you knew this all along. But before I had children, I actually held on to the illusion that there was some sense of order to the universe.... I am now convinced that we are all living in a Chagall painting—a world where brides and grooms and cows and chickens and angels and sneakers are all mixed up together, sometimes floating in the air, sometimes upside down and everywhere. -- Susan Lapinski, “As Mom Turns Forty,” American Baby July 1989

I feel so much better than I did Monday morning. I don't know what's going on with my insides, but when I feel physically bad like that day, my mood is really affected. I said the Serenity Prayer and the Third Step Prayer a million times on Monday. I barely completed my homework before class that night, but once class was done, I felt much better.

Anyway, yesterday was a much better day. I had my three-month cleaning at the dentist, and it seems that my gums are gradually growing healthier. I've been working on the zero-based budgets for the Southern and Eastern Regions at Miller and keep coming up with new challenges. The state they are in now won't load into the hierarchy in SAP. I need to have a sit-down today with Darlena and Jason and find out how they would like them done since they will be the ones using them, not me. God, please let me and my ego get out of the way.

Last night, I went to the HIV & Sobriety AA meeting at Lambda which Mark led on joy. Good meeting. Afterwards, I finally washed my car. I didn't realize just how dirty it was. I cooked some dinner and then just relaxed the rest of the night.

God, please let it be a productive day today.
