energy
God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.
Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.
Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.
The generative energy, which, when we are loose, dissipates and makes us unclean, when we are continent invigorates and inspires us. Chastity is the flowering of man; and what are called Genius, Heroism, Holiness, and the like, are but various fruits which succeed it. -- Henry David Thoreau, “Higher Laws,” Walden
Love is an energy which exists of itself. It is its own value. -- Thornton Wilder, Time February 3, 1958
Love the moment and the energy of that moment will spread beyond all boundaries. -- Corita Kent, "Moments of 1984", Beacon 1984
Too much to do and too little time. Actually, overall things are getting better and calmer. Today I've got to finish the remaining budgets at work, and I've got to finish counting the money and doing Lambda's books tonight. Then, the rest of the weekend will be spent studying for my final exam on Monday. I've just so little energy lately. I don't know if it's allergies or sadness or constipation or what, but I've got to do what I've got to do. Ready for all of this to be over with.
I did feel quite sad last night over Ross leaving today, and I don't even think the full impact of it has hit me yet. Maybe sad isn't the right word, but lonely. He has been such a constant in my life particularly during the past nine years. He is such a great brother and friend. I am very excited for his new life in New York but will miss him being here terribly.
Now, on with the day. God, please give me some energy and direction.
