God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do Thy Will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy Will always.
Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would always be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.
Thank You for keeping me sober today. Amen.
To know someone with whom you can feel there is understanding in spite of distances or thoughts unexpressed....that can make this life a garden... -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Farmer Kyle was "tard" last night. At work, Giridhar in India had emailed me that he had figured out the 030053 AR Clearing Account recon on his own. Yea!!! He asked me for the answer last week, and I've been trying to train him to find it on his own. Hopefully, he can keep it up in the future.
I called Jennifer to see if she'd like to have a grown-ups' day out on Good Friday before her birthday and made reservations for tea at the Arboretum. This way she can finally see my home and the arrangement she made me for my birthday.
I prepared an analysis of my results thus far in the 052300 recon. We're getting closer, and I was able to identify about a million dollars worth of credits that look like they're stuck in that account.
At lunch, I ran by Stephanie's workplace down the street to pick up one of her extra timesheets. She is always so pleasant. We need to go to lunch this week before we both end our assignments.
Laurie from Corporate replied to my email in the afternoon and informed us that we could not use the same method for capital accounts as Caledonian in Scotland because North American and international AP systems differ. I wish we could find someone who would tell us how to get the systems to do what they're supposed to do. This is one of the many times when corporate America just doesn't make sense to me. It's as if all departments and divisions of companies work in vacuums.
After work, I came home and immediately started digging up the grass again in the side yard. I pulled out all the weeds and leaves and stones that I could see, spread the bloodmeal, and then turned the soil once more with the hoe. I finally broadcast the sand and wildflower seeds by about 8:30. Granny would be proud that I planted the seeds by the last day of the favorable moon in the Farmer's Almanac. I called Mom, Tom W, and Dan to let them know that Farmer Kyle had finished.
While I was working up the energy to take a bath or shower, I logged onto gay.com and a guy from Arlington chatted me up. He is recently separated and almost through his divorce but very new to the whole gay scene. His therapist has been encouraging him to get out "there", wherever that is, and so I invited him over.
I was then bombarded by pages, one of whom was my friend Theo. He is so funny. We had such a good time chatting except then Tom and Dan returned my calls in the middle of our chat. I finally hopped in the shower and Dennis showed up about 11. He proceeded to tell me his life's story until about midnight when I told him that I have a tendency to of fall asleep sitting up. So we headed for bed, cuddled for a little while, and then played a bit before drifting off to sleep. Very nice, but I'll probably be somewhat tired this afternoon.
Now I'm headed off to work and looking forward to having dinner with my old therapist Joan tonight.
Qapla'! (That's Klingon for farewell, Theo.)
